Toolza help
Frequently asked questions
Find practical answers about choosing tools, checking results, and understanding file handling.
Getting started
What is Toolza?
Toolza brings together practical tools for PDF and image tasks, writing, studying, work, and everyday calculations. Each tool has its own page with instructions, supported options, an example task, and limitations to check before you use it.
Do I need to create an account?
You can open the public tools directly; the standard Toolza workflow does not ask you to create an account. Choose a tool from All Tools or Categories, then follow its on-page instructions.
Do I need to pay for a subscription?
Toolza does not require a subscription to use its tools. Individual tools may have file-size, page-count, or other usage limits; check the tool page for its current limits and supported options.
How do I choose the right tool?
Browse Categories to start with a type of task, or use All Tools to search by name. Category guides explain common workflows and link to relevant tools. Each tool page describes what it does and what its output can and cannot do.
Using tools
How do I use a file tool?
Open the tool, check its supported formats and size limits, then select or drop a file if the tool asks for one. Set the available options, run the operation, and review the result before downloading. Keep an untouched copy of important source files.
Which file formats and limits are supported?
Formats and limits depend on the selected tool. Check the upload area and its “What it supports” section before choosing a file. If the file is rejected, confirm its real format and size; changing the filename extension alone does not convert a file.
What is the difference between PDF text extraction and OCR?
PDF to Text is intended for PDFs that contain selectable text. OCR is for pages that are scans or pictures of text. OCR can mistake letters, numbers, and punctuation, so compare important names, dates, and figures against the original page.
Can I use Toolza on a phone?
Toolza pages are designed to adapt to smaller screens. A specific tool’s formats, upload limits, and browser download behavior still apply, so check its page before starting a large or important file.
Files and privacy
Are uploaded files processed in my browser?
It depends on the tool. Some tools process inputs in your browser; others send files to Toolza for temporary processing. The “Processing and privacy” section on each tool page explains its approach. Do not assume a file stays on your device unless that page says so.
How long are uploaded files kept?
Toolza’s Privacy Policy explains temporary server-side processing and cleanup of uploaded files. Some tools also send submitted content to an AI provider, as identified in the tool’s processing information. Review both notices before submitting sensitive material.
Read the Privacy PolicyHow do I change my privacy choices?
Use Privacy Settings in the site footer. Toolza’s optional local analytics preference is separate from Google’s advertising consent; changing one does not set the other. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Results and support
Should I verify a tool’s result?
Yes, especially when accuracy matters. Check converted page order and formatting, compare extracted or OCR text with its source, and review AI-generated drafts before relying on them. Use the original source as the reference for important decisions.
What should I do if a tool fails?
Confirm that the file format and size match the tool’s stated limits, and keep your original file. If it still fails, try a smaller supported sample and report the tool name and what happened through its feedback control or the Contact page. Avoid including sensitive file contents in a report.
How can I report a problem or suggest a tool?
Use the “Was this tool helpful?” control on a tool page for quick feedback, or send details through Contact. Include the tool name, the steps you took, and the message you saw; do not send confidential source material.
