How to use PDF to Word

  1. Select a text-based PDF.
  2. Convert it and open the DOCX in a compatible editor to review and continue editing.

Things to check

Complex layouts, tables, and scanned pages may not convert as expected.

Example task: Reuse text from a report you need to edit

Convert a PDF containing selectable paragraphs, then open the DOCX in a compatible editor. Use it as an editing draft rather than an exact replica of the PDF.

Check the result: Compare headings, paragraph order, tables, and images with the source. Correct the layout before sending the Word document to someone else.

Best for

Editing text extracted from a PDF

What it supports

One PDF up to 25 MB; extractable text and embedded images

What you get

DOCX containing extracted paragraphs and available images

Common questions and troubleshooting

Why are the columns or tables different in the DOCX?

A PDF describes page appearance rather than the editing structure of a Word document. Extracted paragraphs and images do not necessarily reconstruct columns, tables, or spacing. Treat the DOCX as a draft and rebuild those elements in your editor. Use the original authoring file when exact editable layout matters.
