How to use Image to Text

  1. Select an image containing readable text.
  2. Run text recognition and review, copy, or download the extracted text.

Things to check

OCR may misread small, blurred, handwritten, or low-contrast text.

Example task: Reuse writing from a clear screenshot or photograph

Choose an image with readable, well-lit text. Extract the writing, then treat it as a transcription draft for editing rather than a verified copy.

Check the result: Compare spelling, numbers, line order, and symbols with the source. Replace uncertain passages from a clearer image instead of guessing what they say.

Common questions and troubleshooting

Why did OCR misread a number or return an incomplete sentence?

Small letters, glare, angled photographs, handwriting, and low contrast can reduce recognition accuracy. Crop out irrelevant surroundings and use a sharper source if available. Check each digit and important name against the picture. AI can produce plausible text, so the output is not proof of what an unreadable source says.
